Graduation work 2026:

Misalignment is an experience-based artwork that revolves around the phenomenon of sensory conflict. The work triggers multiple senses in sync, before gradually pulling them out of alignment, leaving the viewer disoriented and emotionally activated through continuous sensory feedback. When our senses stop matching, our usual grip on reality fades, and something beneath the surface becomes more accessible. Misalignment uses that moment of uncertainty as an invitation to become more present to hidden emotional states and depths in the mind we rarely notice in everyday life.

The installation uses eight abstract light-and-sound sculptures to project sound and light from all directions. Combined with a heavy, vibrating floor, the sound and light mismatch from what the viewer expects, leaving them disoriented.
